Great food. Had the pork belly on the staff's advice as it came out of the oven just half an hour before. It was delicious, so soft and tasty. My dining partner had the gnocchi, again a tremendously well done dish. Waiting staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and attentive. Quick service too. Nothing but kind words, easy recommendation.

Edit........we returned for a sunday lunch this year September 2023, they had run out of beef, not really an issue so we had the pork, the mash and vegetables were frozen not from fresh produce, the crackling was burnt, and the Yorkshire puddings were flat. I was so disappointed, sadly I will not be returning. I wasn't sure about visiting Hopscotch, I am very happy we did. When we got there a polite waitress was upfront with us and explained they were busy and there would be about a 30 to 40 min wait for food, we happily accepted this and were seated. While we looked over the menu we ordered some cocktails, espresso martini and a Singapore sling, both were delicious and generous in size, we were given some warm bread and alioi, we ordered the scallops for starters........ WOW cooked to perfection with black pudding and pea puree, beautiful dish. The main courses were a 10oz fillet steak and slow roasted belly pork...... We were blown away with the quality, presentation and of course the flavours, they jumped up smacked you in the face and left you wanting more. 100% will be going back. Ella was our waitress, we had an opportunity to speak with the chef at our table, an absolute diamond. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. I wish them all the success and looking to seeing them on our second visit in a few days. Thank you again guys!!

Initially I was going to mark this a 4 star, but no that would be wrong. This is definitely a 5 star experience and so worth the visit. We ate here twice, first was for Sunday Roast and second was for dinner. The Sunday Dinner was such a treat. We sat down, not completely hungry, already have had a late breakfast. We had prawn cocktail starter to begin with. Honestly this was the first place that hadn't over cooked the prawns. They were juicy and cooked tenderly. But it was so light and and the dressing very refreshing. The Roast was so flavoursome. The stuffing crust was a little on the dry side, it was rolled into a big ball that was perhaps too big, making cooking longer. Still good. The gravy was great along with the Yorkshire pudding and red cabbage. The veg was also cooked well. The Roast potatoes were perfectly roasted (not deep fat fried). However the Beef was a little on the raw side. Now this is a personal taste, I liked it, but know many would not like it so bloody. My wife did find it a little to raw for her, and I do agree, nonetheless we both loved the meal. Sadly, as I said we had big eyes, and breakfast had not gone down yet. So both my wife and I left a lot still on our plate. The restaurant took this as a sign that we didn't enjoy our meal. This couldn't be further from the truth. But to their credit they took my wife's meal off the bill. I wish they had not, a gesture we were appreciate of, but was not any ones fault. So we felt guilty over that. The second time, a few days later, was for dinner. Of course the staff recognised us and I noticed the chef? Half way through served us personally. I do understand the reason, and felt somewhat guilty over the misunderstanding. This time we had the la carte menu the scallops and Lamb wellington, and the prawns followed by the pork crackling. For the starters, the Scallops and the Prawns. The scallops were sous-vide or steamed, a little bland, delicious but I thought was strange. Normally it's shallow fried, and you get that bite juicy taste. Maybe that was the style in Spain? Still liked it though. The Prawns were cooked well and mouth-watering. The mains, lamb wellington and Pork scratching, was really good. I really enjoyed the wellington and gravy, I had my eye on it since I spotted since the last visit. The Pork was tender, the Crackling was perfectly crispy. The best cooked I have ever seen, which not an easy thing to do. All dishes here were beautiful presented and the restaurant staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place and the Sunday Roast is so wholesome. But do recommend asking about the rawness, if that's not your thing maybe mention your preference.

Best meal we've had. Great service. The Chef here is very talented. Highly recommend a visit. Prawns were huge. Chicken main course was also a very generous portion, well presented and delicious. Can't understand how we've managed to miss this place before. Maybe because of its location but heard tonight they are moving across the road so that should make this wee gem more visible.

Firstly eat here on one of your first days or you will be disappointed that you can't go back. The food it that good!!! I'm not normally a roast man but wow blew my socks off. Beef melts in mouth, spuds perfect, mash creamy stuffing full of flavour Had this while watching the Euros Finals. And came back the next weekend where we all had the Ribs. The ribs were crazy amazing. Massive and you could just pull the bones out. Everyone on our table only ate half and took the rest home which were kindly wrapped in foil and a take away box for us. All this for pudding which didn't disappoint either. The staff here are very nice and nothing is to much trouble. Since we have been back home I have seen they are open for more days than just the weekend.

Read the previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Haggis scotch egg starter which we shared was top drawer. I had sea bream, cooked spot on and 2 good size fillets. My wife had the belly pork which was melt in the mouth. Highly recommended.

Very good place to eat. We ate once in the evening and once for Sunday lunch both where amazing!. Sunday lunch was really good and authentic and served with a nice selection of vegetables, as good if not better than a roast at home.

We dined having the A La Carte menu, then returned for their amazing Sunday Roast. Both visits were great value for money and the food was fantastic. Dishes are not plain fayre and lovely different combinations which work really well. Definitely would recommend . The staff are so welcoming and live music compliments the experience.
