Amazing place! Six of us had lunch there, staff was helpful and even though their english was not the best, they found a way to recommend the best dishes.
Last night was my first dinner at Taberna mas el Sul, and I was blown away. I went with a friend who had gone two times prior, and our experience not only lived up to the massive hype she gave the establishment, but it by and large surpassed it. We ordered three tapas dishes to start, all of which were delicious. My friend, who has ordered something different each time, asserts that you can’t go wrong with any dish on their menu. Tinto de Derano accompanied our dinner, and by the close, we were happily bemoaning about how full we were.
But our experience didn’t stop there.
The servers, who were all kind and gracious, and able to accommodate an English speaker, surprised us with shots, another Tinto de Derano, and two slices of exceptional cake at the close of our meal, all on the house. My friend assured me that this was something that they do sometimes at this establishment: these generous individuals seek to provide a homestyle, Spanish, traditional culinary experience. Scheduled to leave the very next day, this restaurant nearly tempted me to skip my flight. Go if you’re a tourist, go if you’re a local, go if you’re a person!
One of the best place in Madrid. I recommend to order the beef cooked with apple juice!
