My hunch was wrong. La Mordida in Chueca is the polar opposite of La M. in Opera in terms of service, atmosphere and quality. We ordered 2 margaritas on the rocks and nachos and it was a complete disaster. The drinks were sweet, and that's all. The nachos were very, very "triste" and for 11 euros, that just doesn't fly. The waiters were just plain creepy and the atmosphere was stuffy and self-conscious.
We're sticking with the location in Opera where Federico and the rest of the fantastic staff really know what it takes to run a successful restaurant.
The food here was delicious and definetely satisfied my craving for Mexican! The Nachos were super cheesy topped with fresh guac and more. For the main meal my family ordered the pastor tacos to share which were really good. The Pina Colada I ordered was not the best, but the lime margaritas had a great taste. The food here was awesome, but overall a little pricey.
Being from Los Angles, this was the most authentic Mexican food. That we have found in Espana. So that's why I give it 5 star. Couple of things the salsa needs too be mad picoso( hotter) . Hard to find but well worth the money!!!
