Great place in Old Town Marbella! We have been here before and I can confirm that the quality of the food has increased considerably. Authentic Spanish tapas and good service, although a little bit gruff. She seemed rushed, though helpful because she recommended appetizers.
The red wine was good even though it took a while for the waitress to come back after ordering drinks. A little bit pushy, though food came quickly.
We had octopus Galician style, chicken croquettes, fried anchovies, and fried baby squid. For desserts, we ordered Catalana cream and carrot cake (off menu).
Seafood was excellent. Croquettes were tasty. Octopus could've been better. Everything including desserts was homemade.
The quality was completely different compared to last time we were here. Great improvement. Sitting outside definitely helped. Ambiance was completely different.
Great place for lunch if you're in Old Town Marbella!

Old town Marbella is a winner! Away from the pomp and ceremony of Puerto Banus this area is a real taste of authentic Spain! The street are narrow and the tapas is tasty!
After much deliberation we ended up in Central Bar, mainly due to their selection of tapas plates. We also got seated at a lovely spot in the sun. To counteract the heat I ordered a beer and to my surprise it came in a frozen glass along with a few cubes of ice. Now I wouldn't usually order a watery beer but this was a stroke of genius allowing me to cool off.
On to the food, we ordered 5 tapas plates along with gambas pil pil and potato bravado (note these come cold - more like a potato salad). The best of the tapas dishes was the chunky chorizo cooked in red wine sauce!
The whole meal was great but quite expensive. My advice is to shop around in Old Town Marbella as after this meal we had a walk around and found other more reasonable places! But for this visit it's a solid 4 stars!
A sunny place yo have an afternoon coffee, or lunch. There were tables (6 x) outside, next to a little, romantic park. Calm atmosphere!
Reasonable prices. Very good food / Spaghetti bolognese 6,5 €.
