It's not easy to experiment with one of the most popular and at the same time 'functioning' food concepts of Spain, the 'tapas' tasters. Often, innovative chefs create very interesting dishes that get so abstract, that they don't really fulfill the tapas' main task: a free or at least very affordable side dish to support the aperitif (a beer, a glass of wine or even a Martini) that goes with it.
Having said that, it is true that many customers have become more aware of what and how much food they do want to feed themselves with at every meal. They order tapas for starters, to share them with the whole table.
SALMARINA perfectly understood the tapas 'role' and serves it to excell. Innovative and traditional at the same time, they offer a very sensible combination of very traditional tapas, like 'patates braves' with their hot mayonnaise, and classics they reinvented, like the grilled octopus that appears under a cloud of dust which really wakes the appetite.
Truly worth trying. Excellent value.
