Well, the food is just superb. The owner is all about high quality ingredients in the cuisine and the cocktails. The choice of spirits, liqueurs and wine show a real dedication by the owner in finding the best at each price point. The service is just how you'd wish it could be. We've been 3 times now and the food and drinks we've tried are all top notch! The surprising thing is that this restaurant does not charge very much for the dishes or the drinks. I can tell by the attitude of the owner that they've never let anything other than real quality leave their kitchen. Places like this are difficult to discover when you are new to an area, so we feel very lucky that we stepped into this restaurant. Worthy of a Michelin star I'd wager if it was all about the food, but it's appeal for me and charm comes from it not being slick and shiny like a super posh place. Instead, it's rather bohemian I would say, relaxed and delightful, with the feel and atmosphere of a good beach bar. Healthy tasting food, skilfully balanced in flavour, tastes that make you sigh with pleasure. I seriously believe that the other restaurants around this area could learn a lot from this place cause they've nailed it at Chambao Beach!
Cracking bar/restaurant. The owner has a passion for matching wines with his food, (but then again he is a sommelier). The food is great, the drinks are very reasonable and the whole vibe is laid back and authentic. Great music as a backdrop to your evening too. Drop by, you won't regret it.
One of the highlights of our holiday was our visits to the fab Chambao Beach. The most delicious pizzas & cocktails ever, great banter from George the waiter and a fantastic welcome from Frank the owner. Plus - a lovely couple of dogs to play with & cuddle. Definitely hope to go back !
